Smoked Salmon Canapés


Great party starter for any event, simple and delicate canapés

Makes 20 Canapés


100 g              smoked salmon/smoked salmon trout

150 g              cream cheese

2 tbsp             horseradish cream

5 slices           Brown or rye bread

Sea salt and white pepper

Dill fronds


  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and horseradish
  • Place the mixture in a piping bag
  • Using a 3 cm cookie cutter, cut out discs of bread

NB: Dry out the left over bread to make breadcrumbs

  • Line the discs of bread in-front of you
  • Start piping the horseradish cream from one side and working across the board
  • Tear slithers of the smoked salmon, and nestle on top of the horseradish
  • Season with a pinch of salt and white pepper
  • Garnish with a dill frond
  • Transfer to your serving plate/ board
